I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

The Mission San Carlos Borromeo del rio Carmelo, (also known as the Carmel Mission) in Carmel by the Sea, California is a Roman Catholic mission church from the late 1700's. Roaming a courtyard, I spotted the big book (assumed it was a Bible) in the window, and decided to go minimalist with this image. Square format.

Beautiful warm tones, so typical of the Southwest and southern California, with all the other touches I love about this part of the country: the textures of the stuccoed adobe, the weathered wood frames on windows, the tile roofs reminiscent of the Mediterranean, the desert plants. Nicely composed. This is one of my two pod's in the Best of Minimalism group for November 29.
