Artist's Description
Carmel State Beach, located just south of the the town of Carmel by the Sea , California, is an idyllic setting on Carmel Bay.
The mile-long beach features a bird sanctuary in a lagoon (just before the Carmel River empties into the sea) featuring a wide variety of waterfowl and song birds. Monastery Beach, also known as San Jose Creek Beach, is part of the park.
This roughly 1-mile-long crescent beach is a great place to relax and play or walk (bring the dog) through the beautiful flowery meadows above the beach at sunset.
