Description
You may think this image is about the annual Snow Geese migration, but its really about the most photographed cottonwood tree at the Bosque (kidding!). Thousands upon thousands of Snow Geese show up at Bosque del Apache every year. Its almost primal to hear these birds squawking and then all of them burst into a thunderous flight.
The Chupadera mountains are west of the pond, in the background.

Hi Zayne! This is absolutely stunning and I can see why about that tree. Magnificent! It is the geese, however, that bring the feature from Wild Birds Of The World. L/F
